| Happy September Virtual Learning Academy! 🍏We appreciate your partnership while we complete our initial student assessments this week and begin parent conferences next week. Please keep in mind that teacher placement can change through the month of September as we form educational plans for each student based on their unique needs. All students are welcome to attend the PLA socials in their local area on Friday, September 6th and 13th which includes onsite IT support! 2. Calling all middle school students for a beach hangout on September 6th at 3pm! Complete this form to attend. 3. If any VLA middle school students are interested in participating in the ambassadors program asynchronously- apply here! 4. The Sage Oak Spirit Store will be open September 9th-23rd. Sage Studio Podcast📍 Sage Stage at 9am on FridayTomorrow, Friday, September 6th at 9:00 AM is the first Sage Stage of the new school year hosted by our very own Mrs. Lake! We’ll welcome Mr. Kyle Tiernan, who will lead us in an exciting draw-along session! Explore your artistic abilities in this fun, step-by-step drawing activity meant to boost our creativity and confidence. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to bring art to life with imagination, inspiration, and tons of fun! Materials: blank paper, pencil/preferred drawing utensil Click here to join! 📝Teacher Conferences All parents/guardians will be receiving an invitation to join a conference with their teacher. Conferences will take place from September 9th-27th. Our teachers will review the results from the local assessments as well as discuss intervention or advanced group/honors placements.🎨 New Art Opportunity We have a very exciting opportunity for our 3rd-8th grade students to participate in a flexible Oakschool 6-week asynchronous art class series! These classes will allow our artists to explore a variety of art techniques at their own pace. Whether your student is interested in drawing, painting, or digital art, each week offers new project ideas and step-by-step guidance to help build new skills. This series will begin on Monday, September 9th and conclude on Friday, October 18th. Please read through this enrollment form for more information and submit the finalized form to enroll your child.
