Happy Thursday Virtual Learning Academy! We are halfway through our first semester! As we have focused on the theme of responsibility with our students in October, this is a wonderful opportunity for you to sit down with your student(s) and review their progress, assignments, and grades to date. Progress reports will be emailed to parents for all 6-8th graders in the next week. Progress reports will also be emailed to parents of TK-5th graders on an as-needed basis. If you have any questions regarding your student(s) progress report please contact your teacher. He will be here to encourage us to stay active, positive, and kind while also teaching some basic hip-hop dance moves! His message combines hip-hop with character education principles that focus on achievement, motivation, and claiming our personal power! Click here to join  Living History Socials If you are not signed up for our living history socials we encourage you to do so! Check out this information document and sign up for a date to attend! 11/8: Living History Social: Long Beach, Redlands, Temecula & Mission Viejo 11/15: Sherman Oaks, Rancho, Fullerton, San Diego & Camarillo Field Trips are fully sold out, and we are unable to accommodate additional participants on the day of the trip. In accordance with Sage Oak policy and venue regulations, all attendees must have pre-purchased tickets through Sage Oak. Tickets will not be available for purchase on-site. Our 2nd round of field trips will be available for previewing beginning November 6th, and sign ups will start at 12pm on December 4th.  Sign Up for our Winter Social There are 2 weeks left to sign up for our winter social! Unlike most of our field trips, this is a FREE event where all of our teachers will be present. If you are looking for your student to connect with others in their class and for you to meet other parents, you will want to attend! It will take place on Friday, December 6th from 9:30am-11:30am at the Westwind Community Center in Ontario. Classes will spend time together playing games, participating in crafts, and enjoying a Magician who will be performing tricks from around the world (there will be an alternative activity available during the magic show). Future Ambassador volunteer hours available using this form. Sage Studio podcast Staff Spotlight Hi! I’m Mrs. Duguid, and I absolutely love being with my family. I have 3 daughters that keep my husband and I very busy. We have traveled the US watching our oldest play volleyball. I love being outside, reading, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying the sunshine. My favorite thing about the VLA is being with my students and watching them grow!
