| 2nd Semester Funds & Class Planning: The second installment of instructional funds will drop into OPS on Monday, December 4th. Please be discussing any class changes for 2nd semester with your EA so they can move ahead with enrollment forms and purchase orders once funds are available. Learning Period Meetings: At LPMs, parents and students will have a few important to-dos to share your input! – 9th graders: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) sign up – 9th-11th graders: Career & Technical Education (CTE) survey – 12th graders/graduates: Grad Survey – All students: LCAP survey Weekly Study Hall: If you’d benefit from dedicated time to complete work each week, ask your EA for an invite to our weekly study hall held every Thursday from 2-3:30pm. Meet with teachers, get help or catch up on missing assignments. 23-24 HS Yearbook: Remember your high school years with your very own 23-24 Sage Oak High School Yearbook! Plus, all orders come with 2 free pages students get to design themselves! Softcover – $44 / Hardcover – $51 (before taxes). Order here. Spring Community College Classes: There are still spots available in our partner classes at Crafton Hills College this spring! Please let your EA know which classes you are interested in so they can submit an approval form. Directions on how to sign up for our partner sections can be found HERE.  Class of 2024 Updates UC + CSU Applications Due Thursday! If you are applying to a CSU or UC, the deadline to submit your applications is this Thursday, November 30th. Check out the Counseling Department’s College Application page for help! Cap & Gown Ordering: Class of 2024 graduates can order their cap & gown from Jostens here or check out graduation bundles here. Sage Oak gowns are dark grey (despite the light grey picture online) and will be shipped directly to you. Please note that cap & gown cannot be ordered with instructional funds. | Explore your passions, meet other students and start preparing for your post-high school plans with one of our events below! HS Hangouts  December Hangout: Grab your skates! Join the Sage Oak Events Committee on December 15th from 1:00-3:30pm for lunch and ice skating! Irvine Spectrum Center, 670 Spectrum Center Drive, Irvine CA 92618. Meet in front of the Christmas tree in Big Wheel Court for lunch. After some food, we will skate! No experience necessary. | FAFSA: The FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, has been redesigned for the 2024-25 school year and will be released sometime in December. The FAFSA is required for all CA graduates and helps students access billions in college grants, work-study funds, federal student loans and certain state-based aid.
