Keep working hard in this final push to pass your 2nd semester courses! 24-25 In-Person Community Provider Courses: If you plan to take in-person enrichment at a community provider next school year and are registering now, consider creating a unique email account to register with so it’s easy to provide access to your EA and CP Oversight teacher to your body of work without having to share your personal email log in. (You can create a free account through Gmail!) 23-24 HS Yearbook: It’s not too late to order yours! All graduate headshots will be included! Plus when you order, you’ll be able to personalize and design 2 pages of your own! Softcover – $44 / Hardcover – $51 (before taxes). Order here by May 24th.Senior Dedication Page: Parents of graduates – you can include a FREE senior dedication in the yearbook by filling out this form! (Also, be sure you’ve ordered a yearbook!) Summer School: Summer school will be offered this year for credit recovery only allowing students to make up previously earned Ds or Fs. Please talk with your EA if your student will need to complete courses this summer. – Looking to get ahead? Students looking to get ahead this summer can take classes at a community college or a transcript-producing program such as Silicon Valley High School or Apex and submit the transcript to Sage Oak in the fall for credit. Crafton Hills CCAP Partner Sections: Students can still enroll in our partner sections at Crafton Hills College for Summer 2024 and Fall 2024! Note that each class will earn students TEN high school units in addition to college units. Check with your EA for more details! Class of 2024 Updates NEW Senior Sunset: Let’s catch the final rays of your high school days! Anyone graduating in the Class of 2024 is invited to attend our Senior Sunset at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach on Friday, May 17th, 3-8:30PM. Student sign up here. Graduation Ticket Return/Request: Each graduate will receive SIX tickets to the graduation ceremony (Note: the graduate does not need a ticket). If you would like to return unused tickets or request additional tickets, please fill this form by May 3rd.RETURN: If you will NOT use all 6 of your ticket, please fill out this form to return any extras to allow us to fulfill requests for additional tickets.REQUEST: If you would like to request additional tickets, please fill out this form to request extras. Please note: We will ONLY be able to offer additional tickets if other families return tickets they will not use. |

Join EA chaperones on Tuesday, May 7th at 10am for a campus tour and boba! Student sign up. UCLA Tour + Class Visit: Go Bruins! EA Drew has set up a very special campus tour of UCLA plus an opportunity to tour the Archeology department with the department head AND sit in on a class! Monday, May 20th 9:30am-1pm. Student sign up here. HS EVENTS NEW Mount Rubidoux Hike: Get some fresh air, amazing views and your PE minutes during our Mount Rubidoux hike near Riverside on April 26th 9-11am. The 3.2-mile loop trail should take about 90 minutes to complete. Park at Ryan Bonaminio Park. Student sign up here. April HS Hangout: April showers bring…picnics and games! Friday, May 3rd from 2pm-4pm High Desert Sage Oak students would like to invite ALL Sage Oak students out to the Scandia in Victorville! Come join the fun 🙂 Student sign up Prom: Tickets for Sage Oak’s 2024 prom “Once Upon A Time” a few Last Chance tickets are still available for prom at the Fullerton Arboretum on Saturday, May 4th 7-11pm. $100! Koroneburg Renaissance Festival: AllPOs should be submitted for the Koroneburg Renaissance Festival field trip on May 25th 10am-1pm in Corona. Students must submit the sign up form as well. NEW End of Year HS Beach Party Bonfire: Grab your flipflops and join us to celebrate the end of school! What Matters to Colleges: Curious what colleges consider when looking at your application? Like whether… College A cares about volunteer or work experience? College B considers your class rank? College C keeps track of contact with admissions officials or college visits? Open up your favorite search engine and type “common data set” + the name of the college in question. Find the Common Data Set (usually a PDF) and scroll to section C7 which shows a chart of the “relative importance of each of the following academic and nonacademic factors in your first-time, first-year, degree-seeking general (not including programs with specific criteria) admissions decisions”. Here are a few examples to demonstrate the differences college to college!Have a great week! |
