Math Matters
This year we are focusing on supporting families in math instruction by choosing an excellent math curriculum and providing additional resources to help in the teaching of math. One great resource that will be provided each month is a math newsletter.

Back to School Webinars

i-Ready | K- 8
As you know, the i-Ready window opened last week and runs through October 14th.  If you are proctoring the test for your children, we encourage you to start early to allow your students to take their time. Once the diagnostic is complete, your child will automatically have access to the individualized i-Ready online lessons, which are personalized to each student’s sub-skill level in both reading and math. This is a great way to support growth in their academic performance levels in both subject areas. Please feel free to contact your teacher with any questions you may have.

• We now have our own Sage Oak online courses open to 6th-12th graders. Click here for more information.
• Student Council is hosting a Welcome Back Beach Bonfire for ALL students in grades 8th-12th on Friday, September 13th from 3 pm – 9 pm at Bolsa Chica. Please fill out this form and come hang out with other high school students! 
• Is your student interested in joining the Student Council? 8th-12th grade students can apply here. 
• We have a variety of field trips and college tours already scheduled for this school year and we will continue to add more. We hope to see you attend a trip soon!
• On the last Monday of every month, we hold a webinar to answer all of your high school questions. Please fill out this form to join our webinar this month on Monday, September 30th from 8:30 am – 9 am or make a personal appointment with our secondary education coordinator, Brenda Ramirez. 

• The first field trip sign-ups will begin on Thursday, September 12th at 8:00 am and will close on Friday, September 13th at 5:00 pm. Please note the release dates for each field trip listed.
