The Walk for Kids is an annual community fundraiser that supports the children and families who rely on the life-changing services and programs provided by the Ronald McDonald House.This fun, family-friendly event calls on volunteers, companies, and donors within their local communities to keep families close when they need it the most. We will have Sage Oak teams at the Ventura, Inland Empire (Fontana), and Orange County (Irvine) Walk for Kids this year! Registration is $25 for adults. Children 17 and under are free! Check out our High School AVID Program to see if it would be a good fit for your student. AVID is the #1 College & Career Readiness Program in the world and we offer it right here at Sage Oak. CLICK HERE ![]() Branch Out Summer Bridge Program K-7th Each year, students can access our Sage Oak’s Branch Out summer program. This is a complimentary, self-paced online program featuring daily pre-recorded video lessons aimed at keeping your student’s brain sharp over the summer break. It is not too early to plan for this program in order to use your school funds to purchase the workbooks.Students going into grades K-7th grade will watch short introductory video lessons, play online learning games, and complete workbook pages that review the concepts of the previous grade level and prepare them for the next grade level. The Summer Bridge workbook can be purchased from Carson Dellosa for the grade that the student will be entering next year. The middle school math program consists of short video lessons reviewing pre-algebra and algebra concepts with accompanying practice worksheets. No curriculum is needed for the middle school program. Please be sure to submit all order requests to your teacher by this date to ensure that your orders will be fulfilled on time. Please note that refunds are usually issued by a Community Provider within 30 days of the returned item being received. Please plan return requests accordingly. ![]() One School, One Book Reading Project Sage Oak’s Virtual Learning Academy is looking forward to launching our One School, One Book reading program in the month of April and would love the whole school to join! We will be reading Nya’s Long Walk (TK – 2nd grades) and A Long Walk to Water (3rd-8th grades) and will kick off the program with an exciting Sage Stage with a member of Water for South Sudan.We are informing our broader Sage Oak community of the program now so students can utilize instructional funds to purchase the book if they would like. Students and families will read the book together at home while celebrating and exploring the novel with their teachers during live instruction (VLA) or learning period meetings (PLA).
