GSA Club News
June is Pride Month. This is a time when the LGBTQ+ community comes together to embrace their own individuality. The rainbow signifies the colorful activities and festivities of the month-long celebration. Sage Oak’s student GSA Club invites interested students to join next year. The GSA Club meets Mondays at 12 pm on Zoom. Whether you’re an LGBTQ+ youth or an ally interested in joining the club, click the link for more information. 

COVID-19 Vaccination Availability and Resources 
As an optional resource, Sage Oak Charter Schools continues to provide information about vaccine availability for interested families.  Please keep in mind that the websites linked below are subject to change and that the sites are not maintained by Sage Oak Charter Schools.

Appointments are now available for 12 to 15-year-old child(ren) to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine by visiting myturn.ca.gov. For more information please see here. We encourage families that are pursuing vaccination to review the eligibility and registration requirements prior to making an appointment.  Please note, the consent of a parent or legal guardian may be needed to receive a vaccination. Walk-ins are welcome at some locations. Please check listings.

If a minor will not have an adult present with them at the vaccination site, an appointment needs to be made AND their parent or legal guardian will need to complete the Consent Form for Minors to provide their consent in advance. Parental consent is required for all eligible minors to be vaccinated. You may find a sample of the minor consent form here.

Every Californian can sign up at myturn.ca.gov or call (833) 422-4255 to get their COVID-19 vaccine appointment. If appointments are not available, you can sign up to be notified when appointments open up.

Visit the California Department of Public Health’s website, Vaccinate All 58, to learn more about the vaccines available and additional information. 

Walgreens is providing services to participants who are in search of care and immunizations by type and zip code and book their appointment online. If interested please see here. No health insurance is necessary to make an appointment.
