Our last Socials of the school year will fittingly take place on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 5th between 10 am-2 pm at a regional location near you. In addition to fun activities, we will also host promotion ceremonies for our Personalized Learning Academy (PLA) Kindergartners, 5th graders, and 8th graders.Sage Oak will provide graduation caps to all promoting kindergartners. Virtual Learning Academy Promotion & End-of-Year Social Virtual Learning Academy students are welcome to attend but will have their own Virtual Learning Academy Promotions and End-of-the-Year Social on Thursday, May 30th in Rancho Cucamonga. In addition to the in-person promotion ceremonies and end-of-year social, VLA Kindergarten, 5th graders, and 8th graders will have virtual promotion ceremonies during class time on Wednesday, June 5th. ![]() Sage Stage Join us on Friday, April 19th at 9:00 am as we welcome Ms. Adriana Mancini from the organization, Water for South Sudan. Together, we will learn about how we can serve others and bring clean water to people across the world! We will also learn about Mr. Salva Dut, whose story is the inspiration for our books, Nya’s Long Walk (TK-2) and A Long Walk to Water (3rd- 8th). The Walk for Kids is an annual community fundraiser that supports the children and families who rely on the life-changing services and programs provided by the Ronald McDonald House. This fun, family-friendly event calls on volunteers, companies, and donors within their local communities to keep families close when they need it the most. We will have Sage Oak teams at the Ventura event on Sunday, April 21st, the Inland Empire (Fontana) event on Sunday, April 28th, and the Orange County (Irvine) event on Saturday, June 1st! Registration is $25 for adults. Children 17 and under are free! All team members (students, families, and staff) are encouraged to meet up prior to the race for some connection time and photo opportunities. Sage Oak’s Virtual Learning Academy is looking forward to launching our One School, One Book reading program this Thursday, April 18th, and would love the whole school to join! We will be reading Nya’s Long Walk (TK – 2nd grades) and A Long Walk to Water (3rd-8th grades) and will kick off the program with an exciting Sage Stage featuring a member from Water for South Sudan this Friday, April 19th. In addition to this opportunity and as part of highlighting Sage Oak’s core value of Service, any families who are interested in helping us bring clean water to people across the globe can participate through our Iron Giraffe Challenge!
