Field Trip Release #2 Seeking Input on Launch Time The Sage Oak events team is working diligently to improve our field trip release and sign-up experience. We are working closely with program developers to update the sign-up platform and we are seeking your input! In the past, the field trip release opened at 8 am, but we’d like to hear from you on what time would work best! Please fill out the survey to let us know what time you would be available for our field trip release coming up this December, prior to winter break. Our team will take your survey submissions until Thursday, November 9th, and determine a release time that works for the majority of our families. Thanks for your feedback! Mr. Malone is an athlete who has played basketball on both the national and international levels. In addition to teaching us strength-training exercises, he will be sharing about his journey, discussing overall health, and guiding those who foresee a career in Health Science. Students who put in just 45 minutes of i-Ready practice a week in Reading and Math have shown significant improvement. We challenge every Sage Oak student to strive for 45 minutes of i-Ready practice each week between Wednesday, November 1st and Sunday, March 31st, and see how they grow! InTech Center Open House Sage Oak high school students are invited to join us to learn about apprenticeships in welding, robotics, automotive, and more on November 6th from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Getting your students ready for CAASPP testing (aka state testing) can be stressful, time-consuming, and distracting from other things you need to be teaching. But in today’s world, state test scores do matter and test-taking skills are a necessary life skill. Conquer the CAASPP aims to help get your learners prepared. Mr. D Math and WriteAtHome have teamed up to create effective, engaging, self-paced test prep courses for both math and ELA to equip your students to Conquer the CAASPP. Each of the following self-paced courses is available for grades 3rd-8th and 11th and costs $75 via Instructional Funds.Conquer the CAASPP – MathConquer the CAASPP – English Language ArtsDue to vendor requirements, we will have an ordering window for these courses. The ordering window is currently open but will close on Friday, November 17th. If you are interested in utilizing $75 of your student’s instructional funds to enroll in a course, please contact your teacher or EA so they can start the PO request process. From virtual classes to in-person sessions, students can explore various art mediums and develop their artistic abilities in grades TK-12. TK-8 students can enroll in Oakschool Art classes at no-cost of instruction funds, while high school students can enroll in individual art electives or the comprehensive CTE Art, Media, and Entertainment career pathway. Discovering Historical Figures: Sage Oak Living History Day 2023: In this episode, Sage Oak Regional Mentors Taylore Coulombe and Felicia Andersen, share about the upcoming Living History Day. This event allows students to step back in time by creating and presenting a project about an impactful historical figure. Students present live, in costume, at local regional events.
