Student Spotlight |
Welcome to our Student Spotlight where we highlight some of our amazing Sage Oak high school students and their accomplishments in and outside of the classroom! Even though Jasmine Martinez is only a 9th grader, this isn’t her first time taking high school courses. When Jasmine was in middle school, she successfully completed Algebra 1 and Spanish 1 with Sage Oak earning her high school credits before she had even started her first day of 9th grade! In addition to her courses, Jasmine effectively balances school with a rigorous training schedule as a competitive swimmer. She trains at least 3 times per week for the 200-yard butterfly, the 100-yard individual medley, and the 100-yard breaststroke. She also volunteered at her church’s Vacation Bible School and volunteers about 25 hours per semester at her church. Jasmine plans to attend a 4 year university (CSU Fullerton is at the top of her list!) and would like to study to become an OB/GYN nurse. |
