This event is for PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for PLA grades K-8th.
One of the world’s foremost collectors of Chicano art, The Cheech is a “center of Chicano art, not only for painting, but for sculpture, photography, and video arts.” Your day will begin with a docent-led tour concentrating on rotating exhibits and art appreciation. Following the tour, an art lesson will include art history based on the Cheech Marin Collection and then application of their style to create original student artwork.
***The program is for students K and above. Younger siblings may attend with parents, however they will still need to purchase tickets and will not be able to participate in the classroom portions of the program.
