This event is for TK-12th grade PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
The Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College is currently a five acre “classroom” for the Exotic Animal Training and Management Program. Established at Moorpark College in 1974 it attracts students from around the world because of its unique “hands-on” component and curriculum. The Teaching Zoo serves the surrounding communities as an educational resource and a recreational attraction for people of all ages.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
ALL WAITLISTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE AT 8 AM ON MARCH 4TH.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
