Aspiring paleontologists, geologists, and archaeologists—this one’s for you! Dive into an exciting, hands-on Dinosaur Dig Expedition where Student Explorers learn real skills in unearthing fossils. Start with a guided tour of towering dinosaur sculptures, then head to the dig site to uncover an Allosaurus skeleton, just like a real dig team!
This field trip also includes a special Critter Corner demonstration with live animals and full access to the museum, featuring one of the largest dinosaur egg collections from China, a mining display, and more. Don't miss this chance to explore career pathways in earth sciences while having a blast!

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
